Making Japanese tableware at Redlees Studios.

The workshop is now re-opened at the Redlees studios every month.
For beginners to intermediate people, will be able to do hand-built, throwing on the wheel and glazing by yourself.
I set the following classes. Please join the class and enjoy the ceramic art experience.

Hand-built and glazing for 3hours class

Experience is not necessary.
Fits all levels including beginners.
This class includes an introduction and demonstration for newcomers.
Then you will make your original works what you would like to. e.g. cups, bowls, plates, etc.

  • Content of each lesson: Making with hand-built techniques pinching, coiling or slab technique & Glazing

  • Time : 3 hours (10:00-13:00 or14:00-17:00)

  • Fee : £50 (include material 1 kg, firing cost within A5 size*)

Throwing on the electric machine and glazing for 3hours class

Fits an experienced person who has more than five times hand-build clay works.
You will learn how to make with throwing on the machine in this class.
Then, you will create the original works with the electric wheel.
You can make what you would like to. e.g., cups, bowls, plates, etc.

  • Time : 3 hours (10:00-13:00 or14:00-17:00)

  • Fee: £55 (include material 1 kg, firing cost within A5 size*)

All-day class
You can stay in the studio between 10:30-16:30 and muddy yourself. Lunch provided.
You will have experience of all the processes in pottery.
Making with either throwing or hand-built or both and painting & glazing.
Enjoy creating your original works in a flexible time.
All levels are welcome, including newcomers.

  • Time : all-day (10:30-16:30)

  • Fee: £60 (include material 1 kg, firing cost within A4 size*)

*; The additional cost would be needed if the size is bigger than the specified size(A5 or A4), please ask me if you want to make a big one. And also, if you need more cray than 1kg, £1/500 g would be required.
